Tips for financial success:
1. Create a unit budget. This allows the leaders and parents to plan for the expected expiences of program delivery such as uniforms, rank or advancement patches, unit activities, District/ Council events, Summer Camp/ Day Camp and much more. Budget work sheet.
2. Sell Popcorn and Discount Cards! This Council fundraiser is the easiest way for units to earn some funds!
3. Some units collect monthly dues. This practice allows for a slow steady inflow of funds into the unit budget and will help ease the purse strings of the scout parents. Also, collecting dues gives the boys a strong sense of ownership in the unit and can help them learn solid financial habits at an early age.
